From Struggle to Strength: Changing Lives in Rukungiri

Who We Are

At RAAP, we believe that every person deserves dignity, opportunity, and the chance to lead a meaningful life.

Rukungiri Action Against Poverty (RAAP) is a grassroots, community-driven organization committed to breaking the cycle of poverty in Rukungiri District, Uganda. Founded with the belief that real change begins at the local level, we focus on empowering the most vulnerable—especially children, youth, and women—through practical, sustainable solutions

Our work is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and long-term impact. We provide educational support for disadvantaged children, vocational training and mentorship for youth, and economic empowerment opportunities for women. We also promote health and nutrition, support small-scale farming, and partner with local leaders to strengthen communities from within.
At RAAP, we believe that every person deserves dignity, opportunity, and the chance to lead a meaningful life. We walk alongside individuals and families as they build brighter futures—not just for themselves, but for generations to come.
